Custom knife maker Wes Crawford is a long-time friend of Cold Steel®. So, Cold Steel® was very happy to work with him to develop an affordable version of one of his expensive custom pinball machines . The result is the Crawford Model 1.



The 4034 Japanese stainless steel blade is closely based on the blade on Wes' original custom knife. It features a broad sabre edge and a sturdy, sharp tip with plenty of belly for slicing and dicing. It was hollow and is so thin and sharp that it cuts with the slightest touch. And because Wes' fin fuses seamlessly with the tang, it can be extended in an instant!



In profile and shape, the handle is very similar to the original from WES. Here, however, it is made of sturdy (albeit inexpensive) fiberglass-reinforced nylon, with non-slip rubber inserts and a flat pocket clip.



The blade lock offers your fingers optimal protection because the Crawford 1 is equipped with a double-safety side spring lock (patent pending) that is incredibly resistant to shocks and impacts.



4116 Stainless Steel

A mid-range stainless steel from Japan whose higher chromium content ensures remarkable corrosion resistance. This steel is also relatively easy to grind and has relatively good wear resistance. It is often used for kitchen knives/cutlery or for smaller knives that are generally of good quality but still offered at a low cost.
