In terms of appearance, style, and construction, the AD-15 Lite corresponds to the original. However, in this model, the blade is made of 10A Japanese steel, and the expensive 3D-milled handle of the standard version has been replaced with an injection-molded Griv-Ex™ handle.

In terms of strength and toughness, AUS 10A has the same qualities as AUS 8A. However, this steel offers the extraordinary advantage of 20% better edge retention. This ability to stay sharp longer gives it significant performance advantages over other, more common types of stainless steel.
