Long-time Cold Steel® customers may remember the original Bush Ranger , a fixed-blade field knife designed by Lynn C. Thompson from years past. One of its special features was its extremely comfortable handle. Mike Wallace took this knife as inspiration and created a folding field knife that feels great in the hand and allows for extended use without fatigue.

The Bush Ranger is ideal for hunters or survivalists looking for a pocket knife that's relatively lightweight yet a true workhorse. Although it was primarily designed for rugged off-road use, it's also ideal as an EDC knife and can be easily carried in a jeans or pants pocket for everyday use. If you like having multiple carrying options to choose from, the Bush Ranger offers plenty of possibilities: it has a lanyard loop and a reversible pocket clip, and thanks to Andrew Demko's patented thumb disc, it can be deployed directly when you take it out of your pocket. In addition, the Bush Ranger features Cold Steels® Tri-AD®-Lock: the toughest and most reliable pocket knife lock on the market. This means your fingers will always remain safely protected, no matter the task at hand.

With its approximately 9cm long Sheffield clip-point blade made of American S35VN steel and its CNC-milled G-10 handle, this first-class pocket knife will serve you faithfully for many years.


CPM S35VN steel

This is an extraordinary American super steel. CPM S35VN is not only extremely tough and durable, but it can also be sharpened very well to razor sharpness and maintains this edge for a long time. With its uniform microstructure, this very fine-grained powder steel offers good and consistent properties: durable, reliable, highly corrosion-resistant, tough, and hard even with finely ground cutting edges. A good, versatile steel for premium knives and tools.
