Ant is the most compact of the Extrema Ratio knives. Despite its small size, this model has an extremely robust, resistant and reliable structure. The handle is made up of two different elements, the handle made of anticorodal anodized aluminum and the frame made of tempered steel, which serves as a blade locking mechanism (frame lock system). Part of the frame is curved inwards to keep the blade firmly in place when opened, increasing the user's safety during use.

There is a slot in the shaft for inserting a lanyard; on the right side of the handle there is a steel clip that allows the knife to be hidden in the pocket. ant is available in 4 versions with two different types of steel, both supplied by böhler, an Austrian company with which extrema ratio has been working for over 20 years and uses its proven materials to produce its knives.

Ant Black and Ant Black Stone Washed are made from Böhler N690, hardened to 58 HRC for a better balance between edge retention and strength; this is a steel that Extrema Ratio uses for most of its knives.

The rescue knives red stone washed m390 and black stone washed m390 are made of böhler m390 steel, which has been hardened to 61 hrc and, thanks to powder metallurgical manufacturing processes, has a high edge retention. wear resistance and rust resistance; guaranteed capacity. the sheepsfoot blade has a small slot on the top for easy opening. thanks to the special structure and the straight edge, the user can rest his fingers comfortably on the back of the knife and use it without any problems.

Ant Rescue, unlike the other 3 versions, has a red handle that allows the user to find the knife more easily in the event of a fall. This version is equipped with special teeth that allow cutting ropes and even extremely resistant aramid materials. This model also features a conical shaft that also works as an emergency screwdriver. Thanks to these special features, the Ant Rescue was chosen by the Italian Army's Alpine School as part of its equipment.
