2017 Model

The philosophy behind Cold Steel® Counter Tac Boot Knives couldn't be simpler: functionality is everything. Very simple: they work, and they do a great job!

For optimal strength and durability, its sharp, double-edged blades made of AUS-8A stainless steel have been vacuum-hardened, cryogenically treated, and given a stonewashed finish. The ergonomic design of the Kray-Ex® handles is comfortable and adapts to any gripping technique. The deeply textured handle surface and hand guards on both sides ensure the knife never slips out of your hand.

Each model includes a state-of-the-art secure-ex® holster with a removable holster/belt clip and attachment slots.

Aus 8a stainless steel

Cold Steel® has used the same expertly hardened AUS 8A Japanese steel for nearly three decades. This steel has been thoroughly tested and proven over the years to be ideal for making work knife blades: it's hard and corrosion-resistant, with good edge retention, and is also easy to sharpen.
