The D-ring is made of sturdy, 8mm-thick aluminum and has achieved a breaking strength of over 400kg in testing, meaning you can use it for many different purposes, e.g., for hanging equipment, pulling an animal, or anchoring a dog leash to your waist. It can also be used to hang tarps or hammocks.

Please note that the D-ring should not be used for climbing, as in a serious fall, forces exceeding 400 kg can occur, even if the person does not weigh much.
