Are you looking for a helmet that is both high-quality and affordable ? Do you want to treat yourself to a piece of history? Then you've come to the right place! Here we offer a robust , hand-made medieval helmet that is not only easy on the eyes, but also easy on the wallet.

The aconite, a rather simple hat-shaped helmet with a brim, became fashionable in the 13th century and enjoyed great popularity throughout Europe until the 15th century.

Although aconites existed in many variations, they all had the same key feature: a wide brim that provided protection against sword blows made from above and fired or thrown projectiles without restricting the wearer's vision, hearing, or breathing.

Depictions of aconites are numerous. A soldier armed with a wolfsbane and cheeks is depicted, for example, in the Codex Hardenbergianus , a magnificently illuminated manuscript created in the mid-14th century, which can now be admired in the National Library of Norway in Oslo.

This authentic reconstruction of a late medieval monastery from the 14th century is hand-crafted from 1.6mm (16 gauge) steel. It consists of a round helmet bell, riveted and overlapping band fittings or clasps (a diadem, a crown band and a band running from ear to ear) and a brim with circumferential band flange approximately 6.5cm wide and two movable cheek flaps.

The interior is blackened for better protection against corrosion and has an adjustable, riveted inlet made of black leather. The adjustable, pre-cut chin strap made of flexible black leather allows for individual size adjustment. It is riveted to both cheeks and fastened with a leather strap.

This wearable helmet is suitable for light combat, reenactment, LARP, stage or TV/film. It is best suited to late medieval settings and is ideal for completing a European warrior's armour. Of course, the medieval helmet is also an excellent addition to every helmet collector's treasure trove.

Top quality at the best price – with the excellent price-performance ratio, there is no reason to hesitate! Order this affordable, first-class helmet now and see for yourself!

The steel used here is not stainless and may show slight signs of corrosion. We recommend taking care of the hulls periodically, for example with Ballistol, a universal oil ideal for preserving steel products.

The above specifications may vary slightly from specimen to specimen.
