DETAILS

The Epic Armoury War Mallet is a 101cm latex war hammer uniquely designed to be safer and easier to wield in combat. The War Mallet’s head is symmetrical, reaching 20cm from the handle with two 20cm diameter faces designed to deliver a fatal blow to your enemies. The head is hollow, making it safer to use and lighter than a foam alternative. Hand-sculpted and painted to resemble a heavy wooden sledgehammer, the head is attached to a 75cm long dark wood-colored handle.

The handle is made of durable, closed-cell foam around a fiberglass core and finished with a strong latex coating. The head is made of tough, flexible latex with an inner foam rod to maintain its shape and keep the head attached to the handle. With regular maintenance of the latex, you can be sure that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you desire when building your kit.

HISTORY

• A late medieval weapon designed to damage armored opponents without penetrating plate
• Long warhammers were generally designed for fighting mounted troops, while shorter ones were used in close quarters.
• Long warhammers were also used to attack the legs of horses during combat.
