Roman face mask
Very good replica of a Roman face mask. The original was found mounted on a Gallic Imperial cavalry helmet (item no. 1716604901). The mask is similar to the mask found in Kalkriese. But even in the Middle Ages it was quite common for wealthy lepers, for example, to wear face masks.
While the previous model was made of brass and therefore very heavy, this revised and now hand-powered version is an authentic and highly successful piece.
The interior is fully lined with leather. Mounting leather straps for wearing or directly on a helmet can be done quickly with little effort and a little skill.
