Cold Steel® Subhilt knives offer all the benefits of a custom knife, including performance, but are much more economical. The blades are made from Japanese AUS 8A stainless steel and are double hardened using the most modern techniques to ensure unmatched strength and toughness. The handle on these blades is a model of efficiency and economy. The handle section, crossguard and finger spine ( sub-hilt ) are made from Kray-Ex™ and are injection molded from a single piece. While this material is inexpensive, it still provides the durability, safety and control you would expect from a Subhilt knife. Plus, the handle remains weather and moisture resistant.



Cold Steels® Marauder® is a stable, unrelenting and reliable bowie knife. It is named after Merrill's Marauders , a renowned special unit of the US Army (operating code Galahad ), which became known for its operations in Southeast Asia during World War II. Its extra-wide, razor-sharp blade features a curved cutting edge, wide, deep bevels and an impressive clip-point tip.



The Marauder® is suitable for military personnel as well as survivalists and hunters, and is available with either a plain or serrated edge. Thanks to the versatile Secure-Ex® sheath included, you can carry the knife comfortably and safely on your belt, backpack or in your hunting, fishing or combat vest.



Model 2021 - the marauder® with smooth edge and stonewashed finish, replaces the previous model which is no longer manufactured with a polished blade surface (item no. 39lswb).



Stainless steel aus 8a

Cold Steel® has been using the same expertly hardened Japanese Aus 8A steel for nearly three decades. This steel has been extremely tested and has proven over the years to be ideal for making blades for work knives – it is hard and corrosion resistant, with good edge retention and is also easy to sharpen.
