In the Middle Ages, a cloak was part of the basic equipment and protected ordinary citizens from wind and weather. It was available in many different lengths, with and without a hood, and in different cuts. There were various ways of closing the cloak. cloak: brooches, chains, ribbons or, later, buttons.

Our cape is long and closes with a wooden button and a loop. It is made of plain cotton and has a hood.

Please note: Cotton fabric is not water repellent, but can be treated with a waterproofing spray to keep out light rain.
