The garden & camp machete is the cold steel version of a farming tool widely used in Africa.

Cold Steel President Lynn C. Thompson has used this African tool for years. During her hunting trips to Africa, she used it to build blinds and perches, or to cut through tall grass to construct emergency shelters. She was impressed by this device's simple and practical design and made sure to pack at least one of them in her luggage before every long hunting trip. So it seemed sensible to create her own version for an international audience.

The garden and yard. Camp machete is very intuitive to use and requires little physical effort to handle. With your knees slightly bent and rocked back and forth evenly, many cutting tasks can be completed quickly.

Use them in your garden to cut grass and weeds, or as a lightweight and handy cutting tool for protecting camps and hunting. Use them as blinds to clear brush or clear hunting trails. Use them to probe the ground in tall grass and look for obstacles or unwanted animals.
