The garden & camp machete is the cold steel version of a widely used agricultural tool in Africa.

Cold Steel President Lynn C. Thompson has been using this African tool for years. During her hunting trips to Africa, she used it to build blinds and roosts, or to cut down tall grass to build emergency shelters. She was impressed by the simple, practical design of this device and made sure to pack at least one of them in her luggage before every long hunting trip. So it seemed only sensible to create her own version for an international audience.

The garden and yard. Camp Machete is very intuitive to use and requires little physical effort to handle. With the knees slightly bent and rocked back and forth evenly, many cutting tasks can be completed quickly.

Use them in your yard to cut grass and weeds, or as a handy, lightweight cutting tool to protect campsites and hunt blinds to clear brush or clear hunting routes. Use them to feel the ground through tall grass to look for obstacles or unwanted animals.
