With the Black Bear Bowie Machete, Cold Steel's R&D team has designed a bold new blade for 2017, continuing Cold Steel's innovative and unusual tradition of creating spectacular tactical machetes!

The extra-wide, approximately 30 cm long blade has a powder-coated surface with a matte black finish that protects against corrosion and was sharpened at Cold Steel's headquarters in Ventura, California. The generously designed full tang and solid steel handguard were coated by injection molding with finely structured, impact-resistant polypropylene. The result is an extremely comfortable yet robust and weather-resistant handle.

A sturdy Cor-Ex™ sheath is included in the scope of delivery for optimum carrying and use comfort when used off-road. The Black Bear Bowie Machete is fast, manoeuvrable and wide enough to cut its way through climbing plants, saplings and bushes and does a fantastic job at many survival and bushcraft tasks.
