The extra-wide blade, approximately 30 cm long, has a powder-coated surface with a matte black finish that protects against corrosion and was sharpened at Cold Steel's headquarters in Ventura, California. The generously designed full tang and solid steel forend were injection-molded with finely structured, impact-resistant polypropylene. The result is an extremely comfortable yet robust and weather-resistant handle.

A sturdy Cor-Ex™ sheath is included in the scope of delivery for optimal carrying and handling comfort when used off-road. The Black Bear Bowie Machete is fast, maneuverable, and wide enough to cut through climbing plants, saplings, and bushes, performing a fantastic job in many survival and bushcraft tasks.
