Peacemaker Revolver, Cal. .45, 4.75" – The New World Shot
The echo of lead on the border. The revolver that forged legends.
When Samuel Colt designed the Peacemaker in 1873, he created not just a weapon, but a symbol. This 4.75-inch version, known as the “ Sheriff’s Model ,” became the preferred weapon for law enforcement and quick-fire gunners.
Quick to draw, reliable and feared, this .45 caliber revolver was first adopted by the army and then by thousands of civilians in the Old West , where it shared a cartridge with the legendary Winchester M1873 rifle . Its fame extended beyond the dusty streets of Dodge City to become part of the celluloid of classic westerns, in the hands of heroes like John Wayne and Gary Cooper .
