Determining ring size

In this country, two different size specifications are used for rings: the inner diameter and the inner circumference.

Determining the inner diameter of the ring:
The easiest way to do this is to measure an existing, well-fitting ring by determining the diameter by hand. To do this, simply place the ring on a measuring tape or ruler. Determining the inner circumference of the ring:

To determine the optimal ring size without an existing ring, use a piece of thread or string to measure the circumference of your finger at the point where you would like to wear the ring. You can also wrap a strip of paper tightly around your finger at the point of wear, mark the area, and then measure the length of the strip to the mark (in mm). This value corresponds to the inner circumference of the ring.

What is also important:
Please measure the exact finger on which you wish to wear the ring, as the finger circumferences of the right and left hands are different and may differ significantly.
As ring sizes change over time, check to see if your previous size is still correct.
Your ring size changes throughout the day. Fingers are usually thicker at night than in the morning.
Ring size also changes throughout life, for example during or after pregnancy, diet or illness. Therefore, if possible, do not rely on a size that was determined a long time ago.
The season also influences the circumference of the fingers. Fingers are usually thicker in summer than in winter: the higher the temperature, the thicker they are.
For optimal comfort, you should choose a larger size for wider rings than for narrow rings.
