Medieval wax book, dyptichon

This set consists of a wooden wax book (a total of four writing fields), a beautiful brass stylus and a matching leather case. You can use the flat back of the pen to smooth out the writing on the wax.

The Romans already used similar wax books. Since paper was valuable, such wax books were used until the early modern period.

With the attached leather strap, the case can be easily attached to the belt.
