The Epic Armory Woodsman Throwing Axe is a latex throwing weapon inspired by the throwing axes of the early Migration Period. The fearsome Frankish tribesmen were known for breaking through the lines of Roman legions by throwing these heavy-headed axes, splitting legionary shields with devastating effect. Epic Armory's version features a heavy, single-edged blade shaped like a woodsman's axe decorated with garden woodgrain.

The Woodsman Throwing Axe is a throwing weapon with a flexible core that gives it weight and makes it capable of being used as a proper throwing axe. It's made of durable closed-cell foam and finished with a strong latex coating. You can rest assured that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you desire when crafting your kit.

HISTORY

• Historically used by the fearsome Frankish tribes against the Roman legions

• The first handled axe was created around 6000 BC using birch tar and rawhide lashings to secure the blade to its handle.
