Obtain Roman Benefactor's Spear
Roman beneficiary's spear
Benefactors are documented from the 1st century AD and performed various tasks in the Roman Empire. Within the legions, they were assigned by the chief officers, the non-commissioned officers. Outside of normal duty, benefactors were stationed as highway patrolmen on important external and internal borders of the empire and controlled the movement of goods.
The spear offered here was their distinctive symbol, by which they could be recognized from afar.
