This strictly limited bottling once again features “Father Pig,” the anthropomorphic personification of the Discworld’s apocalyptic horseman in his part-time job as Santa Claus.



Like the two previous batches, this is a Ledaig, a heavily peated single malt from the Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull.



The whisky was bottled in Scotland in 2020 from a sherry cask and then left to mature in Germany, as is customary with the Famiglia Nostra. In this particular case, in another smaller cask. A 114l demi-fut from the early 1980s, in which Pedro Ximénez sherry was previously matured.



The result is a heavy, aged sherry cask whisky that clearly shows its island origins.



Cloudy on the nose, with red fruits and a strong portion of campfire. Varied on the palate, with gently integrated smoke and pleasantly present oak, leading to a long and harmonious finish.



Perfect for contemplative hours in front of the fireplace, or simply for the meditative silence at the end of Christmas dinner.



Our family has set itself the task of refining and finishing the finest whiskies, preferably single malt Scotch whiskies.
