Koshi sori or kissaki katana, battleblades

This beautiful full tang handle from Battleblades was designed for both test cutting (tameshigiri) and as a high-quality collector's item.

The blade, featuring a sanbon-suki-style hamon and a pronounced koshi-sori curve, was hand-forged from 1095 carbon steel, differentially hardened, and hand-polished. The impressive o-kissaki with shinogi-zukuri geometry gives the blade a dignified touch and ensures effective cutting performance.

The beautiful details of the handmade kissaki katana

The hardwood tsuka, fuchi, kashira, and menuki are finely decorated with floral motifs. The cotton ito is wrapped katatemaki-style over black ray skin. The seppa and habaki are made of brass.

The handmade hardwood saya is partially covered with white ray skin and coated with four coats of varnish to highlight the beautiful wood grain. The high-quality sageo and polished koiguchi, kurikata, and kojiri made of genuine black buffalo horn complete the overall picture.

The samurai sword comes with a Battleblades Inc. embroidered silk pouch and a certificate of authenticity.
