Tonbo katana

The blade of the tonbo katana is hand forged from powdered steel, folded, and has a medium-length kissaki (chu) .

The saya is painted deep black and features golden dragonflies. High-quality ray skin was used for the tsuka . The tsuka-ito is made of violet-colored Japanese cotton. The tsuba is made of blackened iron and features an exquisite dragonfly motif with gold and bronze decorations. The sageo silk is elegantly woven in dark blue and black. Fuchi and kashira are black with bronze and brass accents. Kojiri , koiguchi , and kurikata are made of polished buffalo horn. The habaki is cast from a single piece of brass. You can complete your collection with the matching wakizashi tonbo (item number SH2470).
