When you hold a Shikoto Hammer-Forged Longquan Master Sword, you are essentially holding the same weapon wielded by a warrior over 2,500 years ago. Bronze Age forging techniques are used to create the 1060 carbon steel blade. Each piece is open-die forged and clay-case hardened to create a visible line of hardness (hamon). Differential tempering gives this magnificent sword a harder edge and smoother spine—a hallmark of high-quality weapons. The tsuba and handle keeper are crafted from solid brass. The wooden handle, wrapped in genuine tea-colored stingray skin, has a traditional cord wrap.

For storage, a polished and black lacquered wooden sheath with a lanyard (sageo) is included. The katana comes with a certificate of authenticity that includes technical details of the forging process. Each certificate is signed by the master swordsman who crafted the blade.
