Discover Katana - Sandai Kitetsu, Roronoa Zoro, One Piece

Katana - sandai kitetsu

This decorative sword was inspired by the Sandai Kitetsu, which the pirate hunter Roronoa Zoro (Japanese: Roronoa Zoro) wields in the One-Piece anime. The Sandai Kitetsu is one of the expert-grade swords and is therefore ranked fourth in the sword classification within anime or manga.

It has a lightly tapered carbon steel blade approximately 67.5 cm long, and its tsuka is wrapped with red handle tape. The unconventional decorative elements of the tsuka and saya, such as the cross-shaped tsuba, are made of gold-anodized aluminum. The richly decorated, red-coated saya is made of wood and is wrapped in the center with red grip tape.
Story behind the sword

It was made by Kozuki Sukiyaki, one of Wano's finest swordsmiths, as an imitation of the Nidai Kitetsu (one of the 21 royal swords). The term sandai indicates that the Sandai Kitetsu is the third in a series of swords called Kitetsu .

However, this katana from the isolated island nation Wa no Kuni somehow made its way to the shop of the arms dealer Ipponmatsu in Loguetown, which Zoro visited to replace his two swords, which were used in the fight with Mihawk. Hawkeye is still broken. He discovered the Sandai Kitetsu in a barrel full of scraps and immediately recognized the sword's high quality. However, when the shopkeeper realized that his customer had chosen this particular piece, he forbade him from buying it and then told him about the curse placed on this katana, which would bring its owner a terrible death. Zoro was fascinated by this concept and decided to balance his luck with the curse; he tossed the sword into the air and held out his arm determinedly, prepared to lose it if fate turned against him. But the blade missed his arm by a hair, twirled around him, and sank three-quarters of the way into the armory's wooden floor. Impressed by this stressful action, Ipponmatsu ran to the attic of his shop to get his family heirloom, the Yubashiri , which he then gave to the swordsman along with the Kitetsu.

From that moment on, Kiketsu loyally served the three-sword style swordsman, although he describes him as his problem child, needing more attention than his other swords. But he has proven this time and time again in his numerous fights against increasingly stronger opponents.

It is worth noting that this katana was designed as a collector's item or decorative object.
