Masterpiece of Asian blacksmithing

- The sword blades are hand forged in 1095 carbon steel.

- The razor-sharp blades are traditionally tempered with clay coating and have an authentic hamon line.

- Rockwell hardness of 60 hrc on the edge and 40 hrc on the back of the blade.

- The handles (tsuka) are made of wood, covered with authentic ray skin (seed).

- The handle wraps (tsuka-ito) are traditionally made of black cotton.

- Two menukis embedded in the handles.

- The sword rods are especially long and are fixed to the handle with 2 bamboo pins (mekugi).

- The sheaths (saya) are made of wood.

- Made according to historical models.

Each sword comes with a seal guaranteeing its authenticity. You will receive each sword in a cloth sheath and in a high quality wooden collector's box.
