Monkey katana

The Monkey Katana has a folded steel blade that combines outstanding performance with an excellent hardness line ( hamon ). The blackened iron tsuba depicts two monkeys plundering a peach tree. A peach decorates each of the fuchi and kashira .

Real ray skin ( same as above ) was used for the tsuka of this samurai sword and the tightly bound tsuka-ito is made of premium black cotton Japanese leather. The saya is painted deep black and has a sageo made of black cotton.
