In Japan, the crane is a very popular symbol of good luck, longevity, loyalty, and strength. When developing a new katana sword for Cold Steel®'s proven and world-renowned range of blades, it seemed obvious to enrich the collection with the crane motif.

The Mizutori® ( crane ) katana is a high-performance luxury sword modeled after older models designed for battlefield use. The Mizutori® sword is made from high-quality 1095 carbon steel and differentially clay-hardened, creating a line of hardness (hamon). This beautiful blade has been hand-polished and features a hamaguri grind. Both sides of the blade and the back of the blade have been polished to a high shine. The tsuba and menuki are decorated with the symbolic crane motif, and the handle, covered with high-quality ray skin, is tightly wrapped with a brown silk cord. This ensures even more detail and gives the sword a stunningly beautiful look.
