Great wave katana

The Great Wave Katana, created by Paul Chen for Hanwei, features the Japanese tomoe motif, which is often used as a family crest and becomes an ornament for shrines. The tsuba, fuchi and kashira are made of blackened iron and decorated with the tomoe mon .

The blade, hand forged from T10 carbon steel, has a long (o)kissaki . It has been differentially hardened and has a pronounced hardness line ( hamon ).

The saya is painted deep black. The tsuka , covered in ray skin, has a high-quality black wrapping made of Japanese cotton and a matching sageo .

You can complete your collection with the matching Great Wave Wakizashi (item number sh5002) and Great Wave Tanto (item number sh5022).
