The blade is made of K120C powdered steel for excellent edge retention and sharpness. The koshirae is made of blackened bronze with gold trim. The blackened iron tsuba depicts a hunting tiger.

The finest ray skin ( equal ) was used for tsuka and tsuka-ito , as well as sageo< /i> are woven from high quality Japanese cotton.
