Gift of Kami Tanto
God so much
The blade of the Hanwei Kami Tanto is hand-forged from K120C powdered steel, folded, and features a fudo horimono and a bo-hola . The folding process results in an exceptional surface grain ( hada ) along the blade, further highlighted by the pronounced hardness line ( hamon ).
The highest quality ray skin was used for the tsuka , and the sageo is woven from high-quality Japanese silk. Fuchi , kashira , kojiri , koiguchi , and kurigata are made of blackened bronze, with relief decoration and individual details in copper, silver, and gold. The fuchi depicts the guardian spirits of the Shinto religion (kami).
The habaki consists of two parts: a lower section made of copper and an upper section of gilded brass. The saya is painted deep red and has a black section in front of the opening that mimics a curly coil.
You can complete your collection with matching kami katana (sh1201) and kami wakizashi (sh1202).
