The blade of the Hanwei Kami Katana is hand-forged from K120C powder steel, folded, and features a long o-kissaki , hand-engraved fudo horimono , and a bo-hi . The folding process results in exceptional surface grain ( hada ) along the blade, further highlighted by the pronounced hardness line ( hamon ).

The highest quality ray skin was used for the tsuka , and the tsuka-ito and sageo are woven from high-quality Japanese silk. Fuchi , kashira , kojiri , koiguchi , and kurigata are made of blackened bronze. Relief decoration and individual details are in copper, silver, and gold.

The tsuba , representing the guardian spirits of Shinto (kami), is made of hardened and blackened copper and decorated with relief decoration and individual details in silver and gold. The habaki consists of two parts: a lower part made of copper and an upper part made of gilded brass.

The skirt is painted deep red and has a black section in front of the opening that imitates a curve.

You can complete your collection with matching kami wakizashi (sh1202) and kami tanto (sh1203).
