Although Prince Oberyn Martell only appeared in one season of the television series, he certainly left a lasting impression on Game of Thrones® viewers. Both his first and last appearances were quite dramatic in their own way and just a few episodes were enough to establish the character as an audience favorite.



Oberyn, younger brother of Doran Martell, ruler of Dorne, was also known as the Red Viper due to his knowledge of poisons and his well-known impetuous, unpredictable, and often deadly fighting style. His favored weapon was a long, notable Dornish spear with a wavy, sharp-edged blade and a spike at the end of the shaft. The spear was decorated with a tassel made of snakeskin and two snakes coiled around the base of the spearhead.



During Tyrion Lannister's trial by combat for the murder of King Joffrey, Oberyn served as Tyrion's fighter. And it was precisely this spear (with its poisoned tip) that he wielded in a brutal duel with the crown's champion, Gregor Clegane - aka Der Berg ( The Mountain ). After dealing a seemingly fatal blow to Clegane, he made the fatal mistake of boasting of his victory too soon... In one last act of violence before his own death, Clegane managed to overpower Martell and carry off his skull to crush it with his bare hands. In doing so, he gave audiences one of the most spectacular and shocking death scenes in television history - a scene that has long since achieved cult status in the GOT fan community.



This Oberyn Martell's Spear replica is a painstakingly crafted, officially licensed reproduction of the real-life prop from HBO's epic fantasy drama television series Game of Thrones® . This collectible piece was crafted with the utmost attention to detail and no effort was spared to replicate all of the special features of the original prop as faithfully as possible.



This is a strictly limited edition of 2,500 pieces. Each spear has its own serial number and comes with a certificate of authenticity and a decorative wall mount.
