The beautifully crafted handle is engraved with an Elder Futhark othala rune, associated with ancestral lands and heritage, to remind you of your homeland as you conquer new territories. This collector-quality set includes a hand-forged skinning knife and a wooden storage box engraved with Norse knotwork and dragons.

The axe:

The axe's narrow head is reminiscent of the Viking Age bearded axes found throughout Norway, making it a powerful blade that's light enough to use one-handed if necessary. The American hickory handle is stained dark brown. It features a groove that runs almost its entire length and is accented with brass nails at the ends. The leather handle has been given an antiqued finish to give it a "seasoned" appearance. This set includes a protective leather blade case for safe transport.

The knife:

The mini skinning knife features a roughly forged surface and a creatively handcrafted shape with a ring handle ending in an ornate scrollwork. This knife's leather sheath features a leather strap long enough to be worn around the neck, waist, or over the shoulder.

Inside, the bottom of the wooden box is lined with black velvet. Two leather straps hold the axe securely in place, and the box's brass hinges and locks are antiqued. Box dimensions: approx. 67.5 x 19.5 x 6.5 cm.
