The cherry wood block has a reddish-brown core with a smooth, even texture and straight grains. The mulberry wood block is a valuable hardwood with a pleasant golden yellow color, easy to work, sand and polish. The European walnut wood block is splinter-resistant and can be beautifully polished. This basswood block has a light color with a matte sheen, is uniformly dense and easy to carve.
