Historic wine jug / clay jug, 2 liters

This 2-liter wine jug was hand-turned on a potter's wheel, just as it was in the past. It was modeled after historical models with the help of archaeological institutes, monument offices, and museums. It is made of extremely stable ochre clay, fired at 1,200°C.

For hygiene reasons, the rim is glazed. The glaze is not only food-safe but also free of lead compounds and toxic substitutes. The wine decanter is dishwasher-safe.

German craftsmanship, guaranteed without industrial aid, because that would be neither historical nor authentic!

Please note that the jug is not calibrated and is therefore intended for private use only.
