Get Horn Beer Mug - Valknut

Large mug / beer tankard made of real horn

Valknut

This generously sized handled mug/cup is handcrafted from cattle horn, polished and decorated with an engraved valknut symbol surrounded by a sequence of runes.

The Valknut, a symbol consisting of three intertwined triangles, appears in various archaeological finds attributed to the Germanic peoples. Although to this day one can only speculate about its true meaning, some experts tend to assume a connection with Odin, the father of the gods in Norse mythology (hence the alternative German name Wotan's knot ). The Valknut has now found its place in modern culture and adorns many pieces of jewelry, talismans, and decorative objects. It is particularly popular among followers of Germanic Neopaganism (for example, among followers of Ásatrú ).

The rustic and highly decorative glass we offer here is ideal not only for recreational purposes but also for everyday use. Whether in a medieval setting or a modern home, it's sure to be an eye-catcher on any dining table.

For hygiene reasons, the horn tankard is painted food-safe on the inside, so you can enjoy your favorite beer (or wine/mead) to the fullest.

A great gift idea for today's Viking or Pagan!
