In feudal Japan, the neighboring Kouga and Iga clans have been bitter enemies for centuries, and the respective warring ninja families have been immortalized in Japanese literature. To commemorate these mysterious warriors, Hanwei released Kouga and Iga Ninja-To.

The blade of the Iga Ninja-To is forged from carbon steel and differentially hardened. The cutting edge has a Rockwell hardness of approximately 60 HRC. This ninja sword features a removable tsuka with two prongs and a real ray skin cover, a traditional cotton wrap, and a menuki of clouds, sun, water, and moon.

The blackened fittings include a tsuba with the Iga family coat of arms (called a mon ) and a wavy motif. Both symbols are repeated on the fuchi and kashira . The saya has a partial rattan wrap and an extra tip.
