These palettes are inspired by pieces from the Churburg collection in South Tyrol. The armor preserved there was manufactured over the centuries in armor workshops in Milan or Innsbruck, whose style is reflected here.

The plates cover the shoulders and part of the upper arms and are held in place by straps around the biceps of the upper arms on one hand and by cords attached to the shoulders on the other.
