These trowels are inspired by pieces from the Churburg collection in South Tyrol. The armour preserved there was manufactured over the centuries in Milanese or Innsbruck armour workshops, whose style is reflected here.

The plates cover the shoulders and part of the upper arms and are held in place by straps around the biceps of the upper arms with one hand and by cords attached to the shoulders with the other.
