DETAILS

This best-selling Epic Armory Dark Elven Longsword is the longest sword available in Epic Armory's Dark Elf Series. It measures 100cm long with a gently curved 85cm blade, colored like bleached bone. The handguard is a mock blade and covers the hilt from the blade to the claw-like pommel with a design reminiscent of a lightsaber. The Dark Elven Long Blade has a 17cm long oval handle wrapped in split leather to give you maximum grip and control.

The blade has a dark, fierce feel that will suit almost any dark lord or lady, and will make an excellent weapon whether your style is that of a dark elven corsair or a very loud banshee. Made from durable closed-cell foam around a solid fiberglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can be sure that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you desire when building your kit.

INSPIRATION

• The dark elves were first mentioned in Norse mythology as the “Dökkálfar” or “Svartálfar”, written in the 13th century Prose Edda.
• JRR Tolkien mentions the dark elves, the "Moriquendi" in The Silmarillion
• They are also known as "Drow" in the Dungeons & Dragons Universe , popularized by RA Salvatore's Dark Elf trilogy .
