Roman belt buckle made of tinned brass, tekija design



This richly decorated, pre-cut belt buckle is based on a find from the Flavian period (second half of the 1st century AD). The original artifact, found near Tekija/Tekije in Serbia (part of the Roman province of Pannonia in ancient Rome), belonged to the cingulum or balteus of a Roman legionary.



This authentic replica of a Roman belt is cast from brass and tin-plated. The brass buckle is ideal for building your own Roman belt and is also ideal as a replacement part for existing legionary belts, such as our Tekija belt (item no. 1616672600). Delivery is without mounting material.
