When experienced trapper Anton Lennartz launches an axe he developed himself onto the market, one can rightly expect a product that stands out from the established competition in terms of its variety of uses and practical suitability. Conventional axes are usually too heavy for outdoor activities, usually too unwieldy, in many cases too expensive, and almost always difficult to transport. The crux of the matter: small axes aren't suitable for many needs; sufficiently large axes don't fit in a backpack and weigh down the carrier. Tony realizes that the axe can be disassembled using a conically ground wooden shaft at the front and an axe head that can be pushed in from the handle side. With the first blow, the shaft is fixed by centrifugal force in the eye of the axe head, so that it can no longer come loose on its own. With a light blow in the axial direction on the back of the shaft, the axe head is loosened and can be separated from the shaft. The axe head is designed so that it's a usable tool even without the handle. Instead of a continuous blade, the Travelhawk's cutting edge is connected to the top via a kind of bridge. This design allows you to grip the shaftless axe head in your hand and use the blade as a plane, knife, or pruner.
