Cold Steel® has long admired the ruthless cutting power of a well-designed Viking axe. However, until now, the company hasn't been technically able to produce a satisfactory model. But since the recent launch of its own state-of-the-art forge, Cold Steel® is able to offer a truly exceptional axe to suit your needs.

The cold steel® Viking longaxe is impressively long, and its slender blade has been hand-polished to an incredible sharpness. It has a sturdy edge about 25 cm long that ends in two sharp horns or points. The longer top point was commonly used for stabbing or parrying, while the slightly shorter bottom point was used to capture an enemy shield or to capture and immobilize an opponent by the neck, arm, or leg.

To maximize leverage, power, and movement capabilities, the Viking longaxe is equipped with a very stable and durable shaft. Crafted in Maine from the finest American walnut available, this shaft enhances and highlights the Viking longaxe's incredible potential as a chopping and splitting tool.
