Your strong, calloused hand wraps around the handle of your Franciscan axe. The edge is freshly sharpened, and you're ready to defend yourself against any beast you might encounter, relieved when a neighbor's dog leaps out of a bush.

DETAILS

This best-selling French axe from Epic Armory is a cored latex throwing weapon inspired by the throwing axes of the early Migration Period. The fearsome Frankish tribesmen were known for breaking the lines of Roman legions by throwing these heavy-headed axes, splitting legionary shields with devastating effect. Epic Armory's version has a heavy, single-edged blade shaped like an ordinary garden axe. The woodgrain-decorated handle is curved, allowing for a better grip when throwing.

Made from durable closed-cell foam and finished with a strong latex coating, you can be sure that your LARP weapon will provide the security and appeal you desire when building your kit.

HISTORY

• Historically used by the fearsome Frankish tribes against the Roman legions
