Thanks to its handy size, the axe is easy to carry with you and will quickly prove to be an indispensable tool on any outdoor adventure or trip to the woods. And best of all, it features Cold Steel®’s innovative clamp-style locking mechanism – which is so stable that it far exceeds the previous industry standard! The system also allows a defective handle to be replaced in less than two minutes. And if you do get lost in the wilderness, as an emergency solution, a replacement handle can be improvised from virtually any piece of wood and quickly attached to the axe head.



1055 carbon steel

The carbon content and relatively low levels of other materials in this steel make it a very stable material, free of the brittleness inherent in most high carbon steels. This steel is ideal for blades that need to have a high impact resistance and is therefore often used for large fixed knives, machetes and swords.
