Your strong, calloused hand wraps around the handle of your hatchet. The edge is freshly sharpened, and you're ready to defend yourself against any beast you might encounter, relieved when a neighbor's dog leaps out of a bush.

DETAILS

The Epic Armoury Hand Axe is a realistic latex axe designed to serve as a weapon or accessory in the hands of almost any character. The axe head is 15 cm long and hand-painted to resemble iron. The 55 cm handle is sculpted and hand-painted to resemble dark wood, with details to make it look rough and worn from use.

Made from durable closed-cell foam around a fiberglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can be sure that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you desire when building your kit.

HISTORY

• Many battle axes also served as tools and were cheaper to make than swords.
• Also known as a splitting axe or carpenter's axe depending on the shape of the axe head and its use
• The first handled axe was created around 6000 BC using birch tar and rawhide lashings to secure the blade to its handle.
