Treat Yourself to an Axe Gang Training Axe
Cold Steel Axe Gang Training Axe
The world's greatest swordsmen were already certain of one simple piece of wisdom centuries ago: to become a reasonably good swordsman, you must strive to have the proper skills. Learn fighting techniques, footwork, and basic stances. Ultimately, becoming a master swordsman requires training with an edged weapon. If your goal is to safely and effectively wield a sharp blade, you must first practice with a sword that is roughly the size, weight, and feel of a real, sharp weapon, but with the advantage of being able to feel or touch it to seriously injure your training partner.
This idea was already practiced by the ancient Romans, who used blunt wooden swords to train their gladiators and soldiers in sword fighting. The Japanese samurai also used wooden practice swords called 'bokken'. They are a brilliant solution to a vexing problem and are so effective that they are still used today. The only drawback is that a wooden sword can of course rot and break, splinter and chip. Sooner or later it will become unusable.
Cold Steel’s solution was to design a suitable substitute from synthetic material – hard to beat in terms of price and highly resistant to the elements. All products in Cold Steel’s training range, which now includes nine different swords and daggers and now two axes, are made from the highest quality polypropylene. They are strikingly similar to their real counterparts in terms of length, weight and handling. These training weapons are not as rigid as wooden swords and also have the impressive advantages of being virtually unbreakable, extremely hard and resistant to cutting.
This innovative series of sophisticated yet economical training weapons is now complemented by this training axe.
