It can hack, cut, and stab so tirelessly that any Viking worth his salt would envy you. The axe's blade is forged and has a wide, arched edge that ends in two sharp horns or points. This means the axe can be used to stab and parry, as well as to hook an opponent's shield or limbs.
As a Cold Steels® Viking bearded axe with a high-quality American walnut handle, it offers plenty of room for two-handed use at 76 cm in length!
Carbon steel 1055
The carbon content and relatively low levels of other materials in this steel make it a very stable material, free from the brittleness inherent in most high-carbon steels. This steel is ideal for blades that require high impact resistance and is therefore often used for large fixed knives, machetes, and swords.
