DETAILS

Epic Armoury's new, improved version of the best-selling Viking short axe is reinforced to make it even more durable. The axe head has a 18 cm blade and a gold trim that matches the pommel. The handle is 45 cm long and carved to resemble a rough wood grain without a specific grip, encouraging the user to make use of the axe's versatile design.

Neutral in style and maneuverable enough to be used with almost any other product in the Epic Armory collection, this latex axe is the perfect complement to any character, especially a Viking or Dwarf. Made with durable closed-cell foam around a fiberglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can be sure that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you desire when building your kit.

HISTORY

• The first hafted axe was created around 6000 BC using birch tar and rawhide lashings to secure the blade to its handle.
• Many battle axes served as tools and were cheaper to make than swords.
