The murder axe was the most popular polearm of the late Middle Ages. It was developed from the hellebrada, but was on average slightly shorter and had a hammerhead on the side opposite the axe blade.

Our replica is based on a murder axe from 1475. The steel axe head is hand made. The wooden handle is medium long.
