The head of the Condor Tool Axe & Single Point Throwing Axe is made from 1075 carbon steel, heat treated and annealed to a Rockwell hardness of approximately 50-55. The blade is powder coated black. The paracord wrapped handle is constructed from genuine 550 lb test parachute line including seven inner strands that can be deployed for later use in a situation where a piece of string may not be sufficient. One of the inner strands can also be stretched further to provide fishing line, sewing thread, or assistance in any situation where a thin, strong thread is needed. The included sheath is made from high quality canvas with a leather belt loop.
