This long, classic monk's robe is made from a sturdy cotton fabric (twill weave). The sleeves are loose-fitting and the wide round collar makes it easy to put on. The kukulle (hood) is generously cut. If necessary, it can be easily separated from the robe with a seam ripper and can therefore also be worn separately. The included drawstring is approximately 3.8 m long and provides adjustment to the hood.

Thanks to its simple and timeless design, the monk's robe is perfect for many occasions. Whether medieval representation or historical reenactment in general, costume party, carnival, Halloween, LARP, fantasy or cosplay, the possibilities of using this monk's habit are simply endless.

The habit (religious robe) is the clothing of the Catholic (sometimes also Anglican) clergy. It has been worn by religious brothers and sisters from the Middle Ages to the present day. The traditional costume is an expression of community and poverty. The robe always reaches to the ground and has long sleeves. Typical of the clothing worn by Franciscan monks is the so-called zingulum (string or cord) around the waist and the kukulle (the hooded cover, reminiscent of the gugel).
